11000 Clerks Needed at SBI

SBI is on the hiring spree. Here’s yet another advertisement from the State Bank of India. This time it’s for a whopping 11000 (yes, Eleven Thousand) clerks.

Date of written exam: 8th and 15th Nov 2009

Charges:
SC / ST / PWD / XS - Rs 50/- (Only Postage)
OBC / GEN - Rs 250/- (Application Fee & Postage)

Eligibility:
Educational Qualification (as on 01.10.2009)
Min 12th standard (10+2) pass or equivalent qualification with a min of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD/XS).
OR
A degree from a recognized university (graduation level) with a min of aggregate 40% marks” (35% for SC/ST/PWD/XS).

Matriculate Ex-Servicemen Candidates, who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or the Air Force, after having completed not less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible for the post.

Should be able to write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of local language will be an added qualification.

Age:
Min Age: 18 yrs; Max Age: 28 yrs (as on 01.10.2009.) Candidates born between 30.09.1981 & 01.10.1991 both days inclusive are only eligible to apply. The upper age limit may be relaxed – see the below link.
